Learn sophisticated verbal instructions combined with the essential principles of communication to help your students reach their desired goals. We teach you how to effectively structure, conduct and deliver various levels of asana classes safely to a broad range of student abilities. Learn about the role of the teacher and intra-class dynamics.
You will learn various ways of giving students feedback so that they can improve their Yoga practice. These will include verbal and light touch corrections as well as anatomically sound hands-on adjusting techniques.
After having demonstrated a particular posture you will often find the class practising as many variations of the posture as there are students in the room! Learn effective demonstration techniques so that there is the smallest possible deviation in the class from the posture taught.
You will also have the opportunity to rehearse the learned content so you receive valuable individual feedback and can then confidently step before a class and teach.
This workshop is taught over four full weekends (approx. 48 hours).
The last two weekends can only be attended by those who completed the first two.
Monica is a life-long yogi. She has over 40 years experience of yoga study and practice!
