CREATING POSTURAL HARMONY, Breath, Core & Spinal Integration
Did you know that we can prevent the majority of aches, pains and dysfunction by addressing imbalances in our posture?
We each have our signature posture – the way we carry ourselves: how we sit, stand, walk and even how we do our yoga postures!
What determines our posture? How do imbalances start? How do they effect us physically? What influence does it have on our mind, how we think? How does it influence our nervous system, our emotions and how we feel?
We explore all of these topics and the therapeutic applications of how to create balance and harmony that soothes our body, calms our mind and nervous system and uplifts our spirit.
Discovering the essence of good posture allows us to breathe effortlessly, to establish a stable, supportive core and to develop a graceful relationship with gravity.
MYSORE CLASSES
Monica’s guidance, assists and adjustments are informed by her professional training as a doctor of Chiropractic, her work as a Yoga Therapist and her 45 years of personal yoga practice.
Her focus is on anatomically and biomechanically sound, safe adjustments.
Her passion is to use touch as the powerful communication and healing tool that it can be when used with consent, intelligence and a profound sense of listening to each individual student.
MANTRA
Chanting is a way to connect us to the essence of our being as vibrational sound.
Chanting mantras in the ancient language of Sanskrit tunes us to the wisdom and potency of this powerful language.
You will learn and we together will chant a Tantric dhārana for the spine and a Vedic Healing Mantra.

I’d been having an issue with my back and ribs for over two and half years. I had tried different types of hands on treatment but nothing had fully resolved it. I was impressed at how quickly Monica could see my postural imbalances. Her depth of understanding the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body is clear.
Monica showed me some exercises I could use to help retrain my body into better alignment and healthier movement patterns which in turn would relieve the pain. The exercises are incredibly refined and after doing them for a couple weeks I’m starting to feel better. After a long time feeling helpless through lack of understanding it has been a huge relief to have some tools that I can use to heal myself! Thank you!
